What does “Round Robin” assignment mean for leads?

In simple terms, Round Robin means leads are distributed equally and in a set order to a team of people.

Here is a brief explanation of how it works:

  1. Equal Distribution: The primary goal is fairness. It ensures that over time, every agent in the designated group receives roughly the same number of leads. This keeps everyone’s workload balanced.
  2. The Process: The system has a specific list or queue of eligible agents (Agent A, Agent B, Agent C, etc.).
    • The first lead goes to Agent A.
    • The second lead goes to Agent B.
    • The third lead goes to Agent C.
    • Once the system reaches the end of the list, it starts over at Agent A, creating a continuous “round” of assignments.
  3. Handling Availability: If an agent is “deactivated” the system skips them and moves directly to the next agent who is available, maintaining the fairness and momentum of the assignment process.

The key takeaway: Unlike assigning a lead based on territory or industry (which could result in one agent getting all the leads), Round Robin focuses on equal rotation to ensure every agent gets a turn.
